Ecstatic Waves Dance
  The Roth 5Rhythms

How do we practice to rest in awareness so that we will be present in the “ living moment”?  Our way is that we do the practice of the 5Rhythms™. This is a movement practice developed by Gabrielle Roth (click here to view her web site) who commented, "We move our bodies to still our minds.” Through the continued practice of the 5Rhythms Wave dance, we quiet our minds as we dance intuitively through flowing, staccato, chaos, lyrical and stillness. We become more present and aware as we drop self-judgments and expectations and move into freedom and well-being in our bodies and in our lives.

All our dancing is with this intent: to surrender and allow ourselves to be moved. Gabrielle has said that the greatest pain in human life is the separation of spirit and flesh. In this practice we dance to open ourselves to become embodied – spirit and flesh in union.

Come and move within a community of movers and enjoy the support, inspiration, learning and fun of moving within a tribe. Deeply engage your body, heart and mind and fully inhabit your body in the dance, becoming present to a deeper relationship with your self, your partners and your community. This work is profound and amazing in its depth. It is suitable for all ages and all bodies. We all dance whether we are, in the moment, strong or fragile. This movement practice is suitable for all ages and all bodies.

Every body is welcome.
